Selina then befriends her classmate Jeremy Riggs, until she discovered he had been her stalker. Not long after, Irene also finds out about Selina and Steven and makes a complaint. After an investigation Steven is forced to resign and leaves the area. Selina begins dating former criminal Jesse McGregor and he agrees to change his ways. When Jesse kisses Chloe Richards, she refuses to forgive them at first but later resumes her relationship with Jesse and friendship with Chloe. Irene, Shannon and Alex Bennett all try to prevent her from being brainwashed by Saul.
Dodge becomes Tom and Pippa's latest foster child, he strikes up a friendship with Steven and winds him up on multiple occasions about not being macho. Dodge enjoys using Steven to do his essays and he later fools Steven into turning on his former geeky friends over a money dispute. Dodge had in fact, being bullying one of them, when they all attack him, Steven decides to attempt to attack the lads.

Brett and Martha died in the blaze and Steven, with no available extended family, was placed into a temporary care home until Tom and Pippa Fletcher fostered him. Just as everyone trusts him again, he drunkenly confesses to setting the fire that killed Phillip, enraged Steven tries to attack him before he is charged with murder. Selina's name was mentioned by Steven a couple of times when he returns to Summer Bay.
Irene's grandson, Paul is kidnapped, so Selina and Joey Rainbow, both visit Saul's commune to find out the truth. Selina begins studying nursing at University and is placed at Northern Districts' hospital. Selina is shocked to discovers that the hospital's computer repairman is Steven. He makes it clear he still loves Selina but she is still with Jesse. However, Selina cannot deny her feelings for Steven and they end up back together before she agrees to marry him.

She said "She's a good person deep down even if she is a bit of a slut." Selina had lived in the Bay with her family all her life. She and her parents spent their time arguing rather than discussing their problems, which led to Selina going off the rails. Steven was born in 1973 in Hornsby, New South Wales as the only son of Brett and Martha Matheson. The Mathesons had put bars on the windows previously so escape was impossible.
Steven Matheson is a fictional character from the Australian Channel Seven soap opera Home and Away, played by Adam Willits. Steven was created by Alan Bateman as one of the serial's original characters and he first appeared in the pilot episode. Willits received the role after being one of over three hundred actors to audition for the roles of the serial's foster children. He was a regular cast member from 1988 to 1991 and again between 1995 and 1996. He has continued to make guest appearances in from 1997 until 2008. Selina regularly dressed in leather jackets, tartan shirts and Doc Martens.

Deckert said many viewers felt sorry for Selina because of all the trauma she had faced in her life. Selina begins looking for a new boyfriend and sets her sights on Curtis. Shannon , Curtis' adopted sister and girlfriend is annoyed and this and they fight at a party.
On their wedding day however, Selina seemingly jilts Steven. She is actually being held hostage by cult leader Saul Bennett , later she escapes and Steven is relieved to have her back. She shocks him by telling him she no longer wants to marry him after her ordeal.

Prior to the role Willits had gained a fair amount of experience as a child actor. In 1989 Willits confirmed in the "Home and Away Annual" that he was happy to stay with the serial and watch Steven develop. In 1990, Willits decided to leave the serial to pursue other projects. David Brown from TV Week reported that Willits would film his final scenes in October 1990. On a school trip, Selina stops classmateJoe Lynch from running away after a bullying incident but this results in Donald finding her with Joe, Jack and Curtis in the boys' dorm.
Steven had a drawn out relationship with his student Selina Roberts , their relationship takes many "twists" along the way. Deckert said it was a "typical soap wedding" with many mishappenings. The conclusion to their storyline before Steven's final departure of the nineties, was filmed in Ironbridge, Shropshire. It was the first ever episode to be filmed abroad for the serial. Selina develops a crush on her teacher Luke Cunningham and is known for an allegedly promiscuous nature. Jack Wilson is attracted to her and they begin dating and attend the school formal together.
Sandra later leaves the area to stay with a foster family in the city. Teacher Jeff Samuels whose training regimes do not sit well with Steven, the Fletchers or many other people in Summer Bay. Steven is overjoyed when his uncle Philip Matheson , his only living relative arrives in Summer Bay. Philip is later killed in an arson attack on the general store at the hands of Brian "Dodge" Forbes , who has a grudge against the owner Celia Stewart . Steven is devastated and begins having nightmares and flashbacks to his parents' deaths in the fire.
After another year passes Marilyn and Irene decide to head overseas to, Ironbridge when Selina is severely ill, they arrange for Steven to come and look after her. Steven returns in 2000 for Sally's wedding to Kieran Fletcher , he reveals that he and Selina still haven't got married. After Keiran's infidelity is discovered, Steven beats him up on the beach . Steven returns again later and reveals he and Selina broken up and he has married someone named Lyn. In 2008 he returns when Sally decides to leave Summer Bay, after Ric Dalby gets in touch with him, he reveals he and Selina got back together. Pippa and Carly also join him, He tells Sally how much she deserves her big send off and they reminisce about the old days when they first moved into the house on the caravan park.
Selina Matheson is the daughter of Dawn Cook and the sister of Wayne Cook. She's the foster daughter of Irene Roberts and the ex-girlfriend of Jack Wilson, Curtis Reed, Nelson McFarlane, Damian Roberts and Jesse McGregor. When Steven returned to the show in 2002, it was revealed that he had been living in Hong Kong with Selina and taken a job as an IT consultant. She's also the wife of Steven Matheson and the mother of Damian's unborn daughter, Maddy Roberts-Cook.
